SJT plays the piano trio history

The Stockholm Jazz Trio started in late 2008 as a tribute to the great Oscar Peterson Trio between 1959 and 1964, featuring Ray Brown on bass and Ed Thigpen on drums.  Though still heavily relying on the music of the Oscar Peterson Trio, the repertoire has now expanded beyond OP, and encompasses music from “all” of the great piano trios. Our concerts feature the eloquence of mr Jan Adefelt, giving the audience insight in the history of the piano trio as well as amusing anecdotes.
